TD 6 will not swap over to diesel

I have a TD6 that will start good on gas but when try to swap to diesel it's just lke you turn key off.Try to do it slow act like it get a little diesel then zap kills gas then nothing.motor stops juswt like you turned the key off.

is the fuel system bleed? like was it running on diesel prior , or is this something you are just getting running? do you have experience with these engines or first timer? give more info.

thanks after 2 days working on it bleed the second filter while running on gas and got it running on diesel
