Close call update

I THINK I have the oil pan fixed. Took a while to find all the other little rust plugged pin holes. Looks to me like all that salt laced snow from the side of the roads Pop plowed all those years got between the belly pan and the oil pan. Got the oil pan back on yesterday. Gotta go to town tomorrow and get and oil filter and I'm also short a quart of oil. All the bolts went in easy except the last one, of course. Had to cock the bolt at an angle in the socket to clear the side of the oil pan and frame. The one on the left side caught a thread and screwed right in. The one on the right side refused to catch a thread no matter how many times I tried. One thing my remodeled shoulders do NOT do well with is working with fully extended arms, especially laying on my back and extending them at shoulder level. Had to use a flex joint on the socket to get that stinker in. Shoulders were aching something wicked by the time I got that miserable bolt in. Grrrr!

Going to leave the belly pan off for a few hours until I know the thing is sealed. Also gonna watch that thing like a cat at a mouse hole from now on. If that pan springs any more leaks, I will probably look for another oil pan.

And miss all that excitement? C'mon... One of the reasons I went rubbertire. Far easier to get under.

You should have put that last bolt in first, then you wouldn't have had all the problems with IT.
