I have a 1974 CASE 450 bulldozer.
I rebuilt the carburetor using a kit.
The kit however did not come with a needle seat. ???
Don't know why but it did not.
Float has no leaks.
Assembled it with everything to factory specs.
Installed on machine and turned on fuel.
Within minutes there's fuel running out of the air intake side of the carburetor. This can only mean the needle is not seating correctly.
Question 1.
Could the old seat that I had to use not be sealing with the new needle or is it a better bet that the float is set incorrectly.
I did get it fired up and it idles fine.
But when the RPM's are increased it spits and sputters.
Question 2.
Could the fuel flow cause this or would this be a timing issue?
Thanks for any light you guys can shed on this for me.
