My neighbor owns this machine. It is sitting on a hill with front uphill. Fuel filter is half full and when we turn it over there is no fuel going to injectors.
Is there a way to force the fuel up to the injectors?
Does the injector pump have a lot of suction?
I am new to diesel repairs. All help appreciated

look for bleeder screws on the fuel system--you can also cut a piece of inner tube with valve stem over fuel tank fill, clamp and pressurize to about 5 psi and it will push the fuel thru the system

Fuel filters need to be completely full of fuel. Tank should be nearly full for gravity bleeding. Crack bleeder screws on filters until fuel flows without air bubbles. If you can't get fuel to filters then you may have to work backwards towards tank removing fuel lines and checking for blockages. Once you have good fuel to injection pump, crack injector lines and crank engine 5-10 seconds then allow starter to cool. Do this until you begin to see fuel from injector lines. Should only take a few 5-10 second cranks if you have good fuel to pump. Then tighten lines and it should fire up. Also be sure shut off lever is in the run position. Good luck. Steve. S.A. Dygert's. Thanks everyone for the reply's. Found out yesterday a fuel pump had been added and it was not working. Got it working and then had battery cable problems. We are real close to getting it started. Possibly today. Thanks again for your help.
