I have slack in one of my tracks on my 350c loader I put grease in the fitting with the funny shape grease fitting still does not get tight but is starting to push some grease out behind it any body have any suggestions for a green horn operator

could be the steel ball came out with the grease when you took the (funny-looking) button head grease fitting out. The steel ball bearing goes in the bottom of the grease fitting hole. No ball & the grease just comes out the bottom & the track cannot tighten.

I think the ball bearing goes under the bolt with the locknut.. That releases the grease to loosen the tracks.. Loosen the bolt and the tracks go limp.. If the grease actually comes out of a hole under the front edge of the track adjuster cast cylinder barrel, the bolt needs to be tightened.. So loosen the jam nut and tighten the bolt just snug.. If it still doesn't hold the track out , the ball might be missing.. There is a seat inside there that the ball pushes against to trap grease.. Now , if grease comes out from around the cylinder barrel and piston, then you will have to reseal that track adjuster.. Don't use a high quality grease in track adjusters.. Cheap grease is usually stiffer of a mix than high buck stuff as they need a cheap heavy weight grease that helps seal up imperfections in the barrel and on the piston rod.. There are seals on the piston that do need replaced upon occasion..

If the C has ever had a replacement adjuster - there will be two grease fittings. Are you using the right one? Is it a button-head? Also - how far out it the adjuster piston? If it near the end of its travel it will likely leak even if you put a new neoprene seal on the piston. I assume you have not messed with the pressure-release bolt and jam nut?

Im not real sure I even put the grease in right place I put it in the button hole grease fitting it looks like a idler that is the only button hole grease fitting on that side I also didn"t mess with any jam nut or anything need advise I inherited this machine but I can run it but I don"t know about tighting the tracks need help bad threw a track one time and I don"t want to do that Again
