I"m having clutch problems, when not under load the clutch will disengage,do I need to adust it or is something wore out.It never slips just jumps out. Thanks

Dry clutch ? If so, should have an adjusting collar, that you have to release, adjust, and also look at the cams and links on the collar, they get worn, likely to cause problems with adjustment, should have a distinct snap over center kind of feeling, which I believe you can measure at the lever in pounds. Worst case the friction materials could be getting worn enough requiring adjustment, check the thickness/condition of same, I can't recall if the 6U (narrow gauge) 7U (wide gauge) has an oil clutch or not, being the last U series was made in '59, but started in '47 and oil clutches were standard by the early to mid 50's, if so, disregard the above.
