1840 Case Skidsteer

Looking for lug nuts for my 1990 Case #1840 Skidsteer. When I bought it, the orginals had been cut off with a torch and car nuts put back on. Maybe the will be ok, but just look like they are to small. Anyone have a scrapped 1840 I can get wheel nuts for all 4 wheels? Serial Number 153404. Thanks

I had to replace my wheel studs. Went to the local case ih dealer and they cross to two different size, one metric, one sae. Dealer said he stocked the metric ones, not sae, and they replace all wheel studs with those when others need repairs in thier shop. Got them home and usually you have to draw them in with the nuts. The metric ones just slid right into the hub, pretty loose. The new nuts for those studs were smaller also, more like a car nut. Anyway, you might be fine with what's in there, replacements from case can look that way depending on which stud it was replaced by.

You could probably get them at Napa , in those Dorman hardware assortments .
