I just purchased a jd 450c and want to put a three point hitch on it. I only need it for a york rake or maybe a boxblade to groom a motocross track. Any suggestions? Need to do this as cheap as possable as wife is watching, much thanks for any feed back

Look around for an old Deere ripper assembly that bolts up to the rear and under tanks.. Or if you're handy fabricating , make your own 3 point hitch.. Does your machine have an aux. hydraulic valve?? If not , you can add a double diverter valve and hook it to your bucket circuit [ loader] or blade tilt circuit [ dozer].. I made up mine on my flat fendered Power Wagon.. Looks like OEM 3 point..

You'll need a heavy duty box blade behind a 15,000
lb+ crawler! For doing an MX track it would be
slow. You also have to consider undercarriage wear
going around a track usually about a mile long and
you might have to go around 3 or 4 times. I know
this because I have an MX track myself and a
similar size Cat 931B loader with quick attach
backhoe. Depending on your soil, the crawler would
be good for shaping or ripping hard packed ground.
For general grooming a tractor would be better and
a lot less wear. I made a heavy duty groomer for a
3 pt. hitch out of a huge 14" H beam with 15
backhoe teeth adapters welded on so the teeth are
easy to replace.
