Case 1010 agriculture crawler

Jim,

1010 came out in 57 or 58 , basically the same

tractor as the 1000 dozer but with the AG options.

Ag tractors were painted with the two tone like

the farm tractors. My 1000 dozer is painted

with AG colors , worked better than having

name on it .

Jim, the 1010 units were very good crawlers but the powershift is a bit ruff shifting in a farm type setting, not saying they wont work just wanted you to know, this was well know to us a CASE dealers, if you want to go more HP you could buy a 1450 they are 150HP with the CASE 504 engine and have the same trans type as the 100/1010 units have, they also have a unique feature as you can turn them like a skid steer loader by putting one track in FWD and one in REV and they turn within their own length

Case nutty did the 1450 also have a AG crawler. If so what years did they make them. Are there some around and what price range.Or would an older cat crawler be better.

as far as I know the 1010 units were the last big crawlers sold as a farm unit, but the 1450's were used to pull scrapers packers ect and drawbar applications, if you are planning on really loading it for a lot for hours of heavy drawbar work I would suggest going to a older CAT with a std trans so that you get away from the convertor heating issues, I have seen 1450's in the 20,000-40,00 range depending on years condition ect

Don,

Got an ultra sound last week, going wed to
see if the rat poison is working on the clot.
