ok, just got it home and need to replace the main trans fluid. What type? is it shared with the rear end? its white and creamy,so I know there is water mixed in. thanks...

Anything that meets the MC134D spec will work. I'd spring for NH Ambra or Mobil 424 instead of the universal stuff at the farm stores....on advice from someone retired from the oil business and a friend that's an engineer for a major equipment manufacturer.

Once you get it free of water contamination , You should either cover the top of the transmission or replace the O-rings on the plastic shifter collars right on the shift levers..

That's my advice just based on experience. OR stick with a major name-brand oil that meets spec.
Isn't hy-tran and Ford 143 supposed to play well together now?
