Have a chance to pick up a International 150 track loader with a 4n1 bkt. It has a seal leaking on the right side brake bands causing them to slip and the left side track adjuster does not work. It has been sitting in a shed for the last several years unused. What do you guys think.

Check to see if the torque converter works, Put it up against something immovable and see if it will spin the tracks. If it doesn't run away from it. The 150's were known to be lazy and 40+ years don't make them any better.

Well I sure and in different position from some of the posters. My father was an ih dealer when they came out and about the only thing is they were better than the td 9 they replaced but they were really dogs. The d282 ih engine cracked ever head or blew head gaskets. It is going to spit and sputter when you crank it till it gets warm. As the other poster said early days of torque convertor and were prone to be lazy. Fixing the track adjuster is half day job. When they went to the 6 cylinder engine the final drives were also too weak. Anything more than 3 thousand would scare me to death on the thing. 50 years ih experience..O I was offred a 941 cat (20 years newer) last weed ,needed bottom $4,500
