D2 cat sat for a lot of years with empty diesel tank. Pony motor runs, but can"t get diesel primed. Have fuel from tank to pump, but nothing at injector lines. Is there anywhere between main fuel line and injector pump to bleed? Also how hard is it to replace governor belt on pony motor?

Thanks. Did that and got fuel pressure to come up part way but gave up when not a drop came out of injector lines. Just covered fuel cap hole with hand and rag, so maybe didn't get enough air pressure on lines.

You must bleed 4 individual bleeders behind each injection pump. Takes a special wrench. Also two bleeders on filter tower, one below filters and one above. If you can afford it fill tank plumb full and open bleeders, it will prime overnight by gravity.

you want about 5 psi on the tank pressure--an old inner tube section with the fill valve and a clamp around the fill neck works good. are the fuel filters and housing dirty and clogged? Check those bleeders on the fuel filter housing to see if you have flow there.
