JD 350 Shuttle Shift

My shuttle shift is so stiff that I have to use my knee to raise the lever back to forward position. I'm not sure if it is the valving or a cable problem. It requires the same pressure to move either way. It has been that way since I bought it and it seems to work a bit smoother when the loader warms up. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Most likely the cable, assuming you've got one. Deere had cables on the older 350s and eliminated them on some newer machines. They were prone to getting stuck, hard to use, freezing, etc.

disconnect the cable at one end and tie up vertical and then over a period of time get oil running down into it. I do this every other winter on my boat steering cable and it really helps a lot.
