found out there two possible mags for my h-g,, the one i need to find is a [c-1113-b] anyone have any ideas or know onw one , reasonably priced for sale...bob

Besides the Wicos - a Fairbanks Morse works well. I have two HGs with the FMJ-4B3A. I also have one with a Wico XB distributor that uses battery ignition. No original but an easy swap.

jdemaris: do you have any pics by-chance, so i can see what it is you did, the fmj-4b3, is that the dist you used,, battey ignition wouldn't be any problem..bob

The Fairbanks Morse FMJ4B3 magneto that's been on my Cletrac-Oliver HG for 20 years came from a four cylinder Allis Chalmers. That's what the "3" stands for on the end. It's a bolt-on direct swap for the original Wico XH1113 that HGs and OC3s originally came with. Four cylinder, clockwise rotation, flange-mount, 30 degree impulse.

Similar mags used on many IH tractors, Continental engines, some Ford 2Ns, etc.

The OC3 (same IXB3 engine as my HG) I have with a battery-ignition distributor has a Wico XB4000 on it. Again - an easy bolt-on swap. It's basically a magneto body but with no magnets inside. If you use it you have to wire in electric for the coil. There is one for sale on Ebay right now for $35.
