WOW sounds like you have alot of knowledge on this machine can you share some with me? what is the best proceedure to start it? I did go up there Sun and opened up the lines, tank to filter, filter to pump, pump to injectors, fuel flowing and tighten all connections, two charged batteries cranked and cranked and not a fire but black smoke out the exhaust. pulled out the glow plugs(looked good but how U tell if bad?)and cranked, did have fuel spitting out the plug holes. batteries went low so I quit. One response said the timing of the injector pump was off so I might try marking it then moving it CW or CCW a bit at a time to see if it will fire up. There is a block heater on it but it has no plug looks like a half moon w 3 pins, wondering if I should rig it up to work and plug it into a generator? Maybe you could email me a copy of the starting and timing proceedure and of the dash so I could know what all the knobs are(everything faded/unreadable). Does the throttle lever kill the engine? Does the key kill the engine (if i can get it running)? Anyway next day to work on it is WED when I am off so all the info between now and then is appreciated. My number is 505-470-4638 thanks for all your help. OH BTW it is S#TD-9086 & makes it a 1965
