Case 580 Backhoe/Loader

Hey Guys, I need your help. I was given this Case 580 backhoe and need to remove the radiator, Has anyone done this and what is the procedure and pitfalls? It has the G188D diesel engine. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Brian

As you don't say what model you got this is the basic, take the hood and grille out of the way, remove the hoses,if it's a CK or a CKB the shuttle oil cooler is part of the rad, when removing the oil cooler hoses be careful not to let the elbow that screws into the bottom twist sideways, that can crack the bottom tank, undo the bolts and the rad will lift straight up,if its a C the oil cooler is not part of the rad, just undo the bolts and take it straight up,apply common sense and remove anything that's in the way, secure the loader safely so it can't come down on you.

Thanks for the comeback. Model is a 580CK serial #8349197. This has a front mount crankshaft mounted hyd pump. I took the pump and fan blade off but could not gain clearance to lift radiator up and out. I had to cut a slot in the radiator mount to allow the radiator to clear the pump crankshaft drive spline. The drive was not accessible until the radiator was removed. A lot more than I was expecting. Thanks again, Brian
