Need to replace engine in loader, Cummins 4B. I know these are used in many machines. Question that I have is, which can I use and there is no data tag on this one. Anyone have some info?

The engine serial number should be stamped on the surface of the block above the oil cooler, may have to polish that area up a bit to find it. It will be an eight digit number. With that number any Cummins distributor may able to get pertinent info relating to horsepower, etc. The reason I say may be able to get is because Consolidated Diesel Corp. engines that were built for Case are sometimes not in Cummins database. If you can get that number I can check and see if its there. Other than that Cummins used several different fuel pumps on 4B engines, especially in industrial applications although I think any will work for you as long as it has a variable speed type governor. Flywheel housings, flywheels, turbo configurations if equipped, etc. can all be changed to match your configuration. Let me know if I can assist.
