Allis Chalmers H 3 Crawler loader

I bought this crawler last spring, and have fixed some of the small stuff, so it works pretty good, but it is a gas D17 engine, and when i go up hill on
an incline, it starts to sputter, because the fuel tank outlet is lower then the carb. Is there a way to install a small elect. fuel pump, to keep it running, but won't hurt the carb.? I am sure some one else has had this problem. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Ron Cutler

Try getting the smallest electric pump you can get, about 4 psi, i think. You might have to also put a pressure regulator on, also.

The H3 was equipped with a mechanical fuel pump on the right side of the engine block. You may want to check if someone has bolted a cover plate over the opening. If yours doesn't have any such evidence it's probably a replacement engine from a farm tractor. Diydave's input should work fine.
