I walked the track off the sprocket on my Hein-Werner C14 trackhoe. Need some advice to get it back on. The carrier is a Crane type. Thanks for any help. PK

You need to back off the adjustment, get the slack in the track to sprocket end and try prise the track over the sprocket, you can use a chain from the bucket to pull the track back, usually those tumbler tracks come apart easy if you do have to split it,watch the fingers getting trapped between the pads.

If you walked it off in a good level place like that you sure are going to have problems when you go to working the old beast. If in fact it is sitting there you can take the boom and raise the machine get some slack and walk it back on. Would be nice if you had a tractor and loader to do the shoving.

Well I got the track back on and walked over to the shop. I raised the track off the ground and pried the track back under the rollers with a bar and rolled it back on the sprocket. I was back in the timber stumping when it came off. The track was really loose. I'm adjusting the track now. PK
