A '69 Allis Chamlers dozer came up this weekend. Ad. doesn't say what size it is. But, it has a cab. It says it runs, U/C is good. But, needs new batteries and injectors bled from sitting. Farm dozer and no longer needed. Any input? Oh yeah price is $8K.
I did find a couple of Cat's & Deere's and even a couple of Cases to check on as well. I'm going to try and check on them in the next few days.

Looks like an HD11. We have one and it has been very reliable and easy to work on. Injectors are no problem. the one area to look for is the final drive. Make sure everything there looks tight and minimal leakage. Check the final drive oil level. $8k seems fair if in decent shape.

It likely has a Buda-design four-stroke-cycle diesel engine. The older ones have AMBAC injection pumps that can be a mess to fix. If a 1969, it will have a Stanadyne/Roosamaster pump. Engine parts are very expensive so verify it's actually OK. I don't buy the "injector bleed" theory. Mine sat for 4 years and fired right up.

Not what I'd call a "small" AC crawler at 12 tons with a 516 cubic inch engine. I'd call an HD3 "small."
