JD 450c Transmission Issues

I recently purchased a JD 450C loader which has transmission issues. Low and reverse will only move the machine on level ground when warm, reverse works ok initially. High works well almost all the time, but occasionally looses grip. I did pressure test on machine, about 175psi in neutral and drops to about 60-100psi in any range, but will NOT return to pressure. I did the HLR clutch adjustments, and the machine works by far the best when the pressure drops somewhere below 150psi in neutral by adjusted the nut inside the rubber plug. When the adjustment is done correctly, the machine will not move in low or reverse.

I removed and cleaned the accumulator/pilot/bypass valves. Bypass valve seemed to stick at the end of the shaft near the pilot valve. I had to carefully tap it backwards to even get it out. No debris in it however.

Also, transmission seems very hot, I can hold my hand on the case for only about 1-2 secs. Temp guage seems to not work as it only raises to about a quarter of the scale when hot. Changed oil and cleaned suction screen. Oil was somewhat milky. Suction screen had some debris, but definitely not completely plugged.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

The transmission needs a rebuild. All range don't hold pressure so clutch pack are worn out. It gets hot because of the constant leaks through the clutch packs. Time to pull it apart no easy fix.
