Catapillar Twenty Two Crawler. Service book??

Greetings one and all! I usually hang out on the Fergy board and I now need to get one of my (2) Cat 22's in running order.
The first one showed up about 7 years ago, open stack and froze engine. I pulled the plugs, dumped in many concoctions and it is still sitting. Too many other projects. The neighbor down the street moved to heaven and I got his Cat 22 less the Eismann mag and air cleaner. The first cat has the missing parts to make it run. The motor turns over easy enough.
I am searching for a service manual that can be used on the cat 22. I know they weren't made. So which (Model 20?) manual can I use and where can I pick it up? I know this site sells them.
Which one? Got another better source? I anticipate both a 20 and 25 manual might be needed to get me Ed-U-Kated on this machine.
Thanks in advance!

I have heard the same, that there is a service manual for the 8C twenty. If you can find one it will work for you because the 22 and 8C 20 are the same basic tractor as the PL 15. The 22 has bigger engine and heavier duty finals.

If there is a book for the L 20 and PL 20 or 25 it will do you no good, they are a different animal.

Maybe if you ask at ACMOC.org someone will know what books are out there.

Being totally and excruciatingly honest I have absolutely no idea about the machine.
I know auto mechanics and have been wrenching a few years.
This crawler comes with a clutch pedal and possibly a future kevlar clutch, two brake pedals, a shifter handle, a hand set throttle and a seat. Beyond that is pretty much a mystery. My first crawler has a winch on it that looks like it may have been welded on and a front two way blade. The winch is a needed item for the idiot who will get stuck.
I say that while looking in the mirror.
This is going to be a challenge of sorts and I just picked up a set of Eisemann magneto wrenches off flea bay. $20 bucks later and the adventure is about to begin. . .

Ebay is a possible source, though when I just checked I did not see any servicemans reference books shown.

Caterpillar Legendary Literature, is a reprint offering by CAT, the attached link is 30 pages of listings, your tractor is in there somewhere a few pages in. When I looked it up on the CAT site, there were no corresponding links to this .PDF file with most if not all the equipment they produced. Not sure whats up with that. You should record the serial numbers of your tractors and get the corresponding books for them, the attached link does cross reference books to serial number production runs, so you may be able to pin point what you need. Typically, around or not long after your tractors were built, the 3 books to have for these were the Operators Instructions, Serviceman's Reference Book, and Parts Catalog. These were the titles for many years, not sure about yours or earlier tractors, and what may be different, but years back CAT did not publish these for some time, Midland Press used to reproduce older manuals, some years ago, CAT took it back in house, and started this legendary literature program, offering all the books for older tractor, same price for each book, and they did list a catalog of the books available, so I believe this should be correct from what I read years ago, its just that I cannot find any links to order from. The attached file has abbreviations, states the size of the books, pages etc. it might help you track down what you need, and hopefully this program is still intact
Manual Listing

Some time back a guy on another tractor site posted a link to an operators manual for a 22 which I downloaded,I tried to upload it to Rapidshare but they have revamped their site and though I have lots of stuff on there I can't access it so I am trying another host site, you or anyone else are welcome to download a copy.
