yes had it in both positions, and bled all the lines.Old fuel is 25 years old, will drain and flush it good.Read somewhere else rack may be stuck, sounds like easy fix, thanks

Yes--could be stuck plungers--however if you bled the injector lines and got fuel then they are working somewhat--but may not have enough pressure to fire the injector

Their are 4 elements (fuel filters) in the housing beside the fuel pressure gauge. Might be good idea to change them, they are still available from cat dealers, item # 788264.

My old 1955 D4 takes some time to get warm enough to start with the pony motor. If its not firing when you pull it only friction is warming cylinders, maybe its cold?

The water temp gauge came up and engine and manifolds were both hot. Fuel is so old it smells more like turpentine, got to drain it and new filters in a couple of nights then I hope it will start.Going to put some Howes in too.

Three years ago I pull started one I parked in 1974. I did put new fuel and filters first had to bleed one injector. Needed to show wrench twisting son how the old ones worked. We ran it for three hours and parked it. pony doesn't have compression.
