Am considering hough payloader, model???. Features to help id-3 cyl GM, rear whl. steer, rollback operator cover, batt cover/ battery sit higher than engine hood and the cover hinges up and to the rear over engine hood, 2 or 4 whl dr., 2 speed hydro trans. Info. I have avail. suggests H30 or H50 w/ the 3 cyl GM but haven't seen pics of any w/ high batt. mount, or rollback canopy

Don't count on that detroit being factory installed. most came with an international gas or diesel. most of these engines were installed with velcro so anything else could be installed.Had several in the late '60's and never had one that hadn't been changed to Detroit 3-71 or 4-71's,depending on machine size. post some pictures,probably can identify,maybe have manuels....GOOD machines

Some 50s did have factory detroits but NONE had HYDR transmission as you say. They had two or three speed Power shift transmissions.
