I have a backhoe on a tractor called a DO MOR--This is an industrial tractor with a backhoe attachment. The hoe operates like a JD Hoe, but there isn't any markings on it. Was told maybe the hoe came off a JD dozer or crawler. It is a OPEN CENTER hyd. hoe.
I would like to buy another one like this one.

THERE ARE NO MARKINGS ON THE HOE EXCEPT A COUPLE OF CASTING NUMBERS...Do you know what a 93 would have come off of?????????????

I don't know if JD ever made a hoe with a hydraulic motor swing. I have only seen them with swing cylinders.

The only hoe I ever owned with a swing motor was on a Massey Ferguson. Might check down below. They might know.

They were mounted on various different loaders [ Even on the back of a Deere 544 wheel loader.. They could be set up open center or closed center hydraulics.. The swing cylinder has a single vane inside the barrel for a seal.. They worked ok but the splines that they mounted in got loose and the swing would get sloppy..

JD did have some hoes with a rotary cylinder so that's probably what it is. Very, very similar design to the Cat quick attach hoe on my 931B so it's possible it's an early Cat hoe but I kind of doubt it. JD made a lot more hoes than Cat until Cat went into the Tractor backhoe market. There may be a part number tag on the hyd. cylinders. I see there's some numbers on the bottom of the boom where it pins onto the cast steel swing post that might give you an idea.

All I can say for certain is that the boom shape and design are consistent with what a Deere looks like... I've never seen a Deere with a rotary swing but that by no means suggests that they didn't exist.

Looks alot like this one on my little 350B....

John deere put them on everything from 350 dozers to wheel loaders I've even seen one mounted on a tandem truck. They are a dime a dozen and can be picked up for scrap price.

(quoted from post at 12:55:35 07/21/13) I thought the same thing,Got on the JD Parts website and low and behold,JD did make a rotary swing cylinder. Learn something new every day.

Deere made hoes with a single barrel cylinder, or dual conventional cylinders and a few with single conventional cylinders with some convoluted linkage to create the swing (9250 on 300Bs is one example).

There were hoes with barrel/vane swing cylinders on many Deere machines. 1010, 350, 450, etc. At one time Deere had an upgrade kit to eliminate the unitized barrel cylinder and install a pair of conventional cylinders. Took a lot of money, work, and welding to install. I did at least two when working for a Deere dealer - on 450 crawlers as I recall.

We had a miserable time keep those barrel cylinders from leaking and they often were low on swing-power.

I have one here on a Deere 1010. I also had a MF with one and still have an Allis Charmers Mark IV with the barrel cylinder.

Deere made many with barrel cylinders. Take some measurements.
