Lady needs help with T6 DOZER tranny oil and brake clutch

Help, have 1959 (I think the year is right, checked by serial #) T-6 and need to know what oil to put in the transmission. Got it running after it had been sitting for many years, but only had a little fluid in the tranny/differential. Also the left brake clutch isn't working. Tomorrow I will be dragging beetle kill Ponderosa Pines up a hill to a portable mill to cut the lumber for a kitchen addition. So it would help to get the correct oil and maybe even have some luck unlocking the left brake clutch. Is it fully mechanical or does it have a fluid reservoir too? Thanks for any help!

You need a service manual to show all the adjustments and oils etc,a good place to find one is ebay, the steering clutch you are having trouble with is probably not releasing when you pull the lever, the term generally used is the clutch is stuck, the clutch is a multi-disc and the discs can stick to together with rust, some people tie the lever back in the disengaged position and drive the machine up against a solid object like a tree stump or the like in the hope it breaks free, you can do that if you got a blade,if its a bare tractor tie it to something solid with a heavy chain, keep onlookers away and protect yourself from whiplash,if you can get it free it saves a lot of work taking the clutch out, there is loads of info on the IH site Red Power at the link below.

Thanks a ton. Pulled in a lot of logs today. Left steering is still stuck and the clutch is extremely tight, which is especially noticeable when you have to back up to turn one way or do circles! lol Anyone know where to adjust the clutch to loosen it a bit?

Felling and pulling more logs tomorrow. Burning a lot of oil too but the smoke blends nicely with the dust so all is good.
