I just bought a 1936 R2 Cat dozer. Anyone have any info on R number built?

Is that a 4J or 6J model? My first dozer was a 6J-102---1939 year

According to the year that you posted (1936), that should be an R-2 5E with a 3 speed trans and manufactured from 1934-1937 . Sorry, but other than an approximate price valuation guide dependant upon condition, is all the information that I have.
