TD-8C Dozer

Left side, look ahead of sprocket & where track cotacts sprkt.,there is a 1&1/2nut w/a 5/8 nut. I usally take the nut & bolt out and clean them up. Back the nut way up,install the bolt til it stops back off 1/2 turn, lock nut, should work. If not you is in for more work GOOD LUCK

Roony You say no power. Now is this happening when you pull the right steering or is this ALL the time. Do you hear any unusual noise. You may have a final drive pinion shelled or something in the final. The other poster is correct if it is only happening when you pull the other steering. Easy way is loosen the lock nut turn the center in 1.5 turns and see if it improves.

The dozer will move forward but when right brake lever is applied the left track tries to turn but does not have enough power to turn...also its overheats after a time...wondering if the cluth may be slipping

Ron in mn has you going. Make that adjustment. Simple to just loosen the lock nut and turn it in about one and half turns and the left tract should pick up and go. No clutch to be slipping but may have a stopped up radiator or the steering issue is heating the hydraulic oil and that causing the engine heat.

Same problem...sounds like clutch is slipping on that side when right side brake lever is applied..may have to pull the top off unless ther is something else to try?
