Can anyone give info on difference in 690 vs A,B I have a 690 but not sure what it is. Thanks

690 and 690-A had shovel style undercarriages with chain drive and tumblers. 690-B had usual pin and bushing hydraulic drive undercarriages with sprockets. 690 and 690-A used stanadyne in jector pumps and 690-B used bosch pumps.. Some late 690-b's also had pilot controls instead of those long gangly levers that you could cross and knock knuckles when blending functions..

Thanks. Have an engine that pistons are stuck in(water in cyl frm rain)and engine parts seem to be diff.I have E0690 eng ser#0004991 6404TUA
