Hello, it sounds to me like the number one rod bearing is getting ready to turn loose. They will start as a little peck and get louder as time goes on until finely it turns loose. When it does it will destroy that thing pretty bad if it is running under a full head of steam so to speak. Well, if you don't want to work on it just let me know and I will make you an offer on it.
