jd 410b reverser - forward ok reverse does not move

have jd 410b backhoe. when in forward in all gears works aok. when in reverse in all gears very slow movement. servcie manual shows where to check pressure on control valve but does not give normal operating pressure. what is normal ?
before i oh valve with new seals what can i check to make sure this is problem ? how do i check manually to make sure not out of adjustment ?

I would venture a guess and say the sealing rings on the reverser itself are leaking, not giving enough pressure to fully engage the clutches. This will give you a low reading on the reverser pressures.

disconnected mechanical linkage. moved to reverse. worked aok. moved to forward. worked aok. adjusted mech yoke. works aok.
