brake band adjustment

i have a older model john deere 550 crawler
i would like to know the correct position of the adjusting link with with the adjusting nut .the manuel does not show it clearly.do any one have a clear picture showing the relationship of these parts. thanks

Here are the brake parts for a 550 (if the diagram shows) -- which part are you referring to? Or..are you referring to external linkage?
