Hey, I'm working on an 8875 Deere skid steer for a friend of mine. I know this is a New Holland machine with the only difference being the engine. I think it is a L865 New Holland. Unfortunately I think his control panel has shorted out inside. This panel controls almost all functions of the machine and its safety's. I could figure it out and bypass it but I'm not comfortable doing that and don't want that worry on my hands. Not to mention if I do that all of the engine and HYD safety's go out the window so he wouldn't know if any oil pressures dropped off.

The new panel is 1300. from Deere. New Holland dealer tells me that a new one from them is about 700. with a reman at about 600.

What I would like to find out is are the New Holland and Deere machines panels identical or did Deere have something different put in them to be different. I would like to get it form New Holland if at all possible. Thanks

That's an awful ball of money, how old is the machine, I would be looking at the printed circuit and testing for dry joints or broken path and would solder in a piece of wire if I found a broken path,of what i could see of it on the JD parts site it just seems to be a box with relays in it described as a main panel, the one in the drawing is turned the wrong way for to see the board, see the drawing.

Thanks for the image. I found a part number on the back of it and called NH. They can get it and for 660. Amazing the mark up deere put on this part.

It's no different than bearings. JD will claim they
only get the most premium of the batch and the parts
they reject go to the bearing house or jobber shops.
Sad thing is some will try to defend the JD prices
and say that identical parts aren't the same.

Why do you think the panel is bad? Most problems I've had with mine are related to bad senders and wiring problems...

I checked everything possible out and everything checks out. I took the panal out and on the back side it has a burnt spot so that tells me something went wrong with it. I have made the machine run by disconnecting wires to the panal and jumping the start interlock relay to get it going. I put power to the pedal locks to release them. I have checked it all. Even found what might have shorted it out. The wires to the hyd charge pressure sensor were broken and I believe they shorted out. The one thing I am having trouble with is what i believe to be a overheat shutdown harnass that connects to the fuel pump. IT gets power from the pump goes to the temp sensor then goes to a solenoid on the bottom of the pump and then goes back to the pump for ground. This cuses a fues to blow every time. It does not however explain why this machine will not function or start. The seat belt circuits and seat buttons are fine. It all leads to the panal not putting power out where it needs to go.
