cat d2 roller question

im trying to put a cat d2 crawler track back together for my neighbor but hes missing three of the side pieces that go on each side of the roller that bolts to the bottom of the frame.so i was wondering what they were called. thanks for any help

Do you mean the rock guards? Length of track frame and between rollers?

If it is rock guards, leave them off.

They are called cheek plates. When you go back together with it you may need to add shims that go behind the plates they cant be too tight.

Do you have any books for it? I have a servicemans repair manual, and a parts book for my D2. I think they are at the farm. Haven't seen them for a while, but I can find them if you need.
