Back in 1992 I bought my first semi tractor from the local excavator. It didn't run and I backed the brakes off and pulled it home with the help from a friend keeping it in gear and slowing down the truck with the clutch.
It was a daycab 4000 IH Cabover with an 8v-71. I wish I still had that truck. I put a new blower driveshaft in it and it started right up. I used it for about 3 years and was trucking too far away and traded it off on a 9670 with a 400 BC Cummins.
Oh well, that was years ago, I would replace the blower drive shaft and see if it runs. Mine was in 1 piece though, the threads were stripped. |
