HI, i"m looking for a hydraulic pump for my atc terratrac g500 with a loader. Was wondering what size of pump i should get and where is a good place to get one.

Does yours mount on the side of the engine and gear driven off the timing gears ? .I have one off a G500 dozer and it had the continental f-162 engine .I can get the numbers off my pump if you need to compare them to yours . My pump was working great when the final drives tore up . Let me know if your interested and we can talk about the price and will have to add the shipping into that also . I also have relined brake bands on hand if you need a set

Mine mounts to the front of the engine. I know the pump that was stuck on there was not the factory pump, it hooked up the same way but the guy took it off of another tractor. I havn't taken it off yet.

Ok when you get it off take a pic as i have some pumps off of forklifts that were front mounted and were good pumps off junked machines . Never know i might have one that will work and if not any hydraulic repair company can get you a pump or rebuild yours

You might check Northern Tool + Equipment - ( 1-800-533-5545 ) / http://www.Northern Tool.com & ask for their Master Catalog, they have just about anything you would want in the Hydraulics department.

Front pumps are generic. Just measure shaft size and mount and replace with a Cessna or Webster-Danfoss. Many of the older crawlers originally has big cast-iron Hydreco gear pumps.

You need to know the RPM, system operating pressure, and flow rate. Take that over to surpluscenter.com, and ask their tech service people to help you pick out a pump. Also nice to know what shaft size is driving the pump, and what mounting pattern the old pump has. You might have to fabricate the connections, though.

There are also several formulas that you measure your old pump internally and then the formula will convert it to GPM. Also remember all pumps are rated on theoretical GPM and really do not pump that much flow. Questions?

Theoretical flow? Gear pumps are "positive displacement" and have to flow whatever they are rated at. That being said, Gallons per minute ratings are meaningless without RPMs. Gear pumps are accurately size-rated by "cubic inch per revolution." GPMs only have meaning when shaft speed is expressed.

the pump has a 6 splined shaft on it. the guy that replaced it before me put on a 15 gpm pump and i need at least a 19 to 20 gpm pump.. do you have any of these laying around that work
