TD-7G blade control levers

I was wondering if the 2 lever blade control system could be changed to a one lever system. The valve unit should be the same to bolt to.

You confuse me. You say two lever,, it should already operate UP & DOWN and ANGEL on one tall control then the tilt on the other short lever. No way to control all THREE spools on any ONE lever that I know of. Please explain your question more if I have missed it. Have several td 7/8/9 s clear on up to td 9H dressers but never have made any blade changes and doubt that it could be done. You could I guess but a electric switch on top of the tall lever and electric to the tilt. How long have you owned the unit.?

The one lever is for up and down and tilt. The other lever is for angle. The newer machines combine all three operations in one lever so I was wondering if they are interchangable.

I think it would it would be difficult to figure out a linkage to control all 3 functions with one lever.

Are you saying newer like DRESTA .. what model I have one less than 18 months old and it is still two functions on one with separate lever for other.

You could do it, but it would take some linkage fabrication, and I'm not sure how convenient it would be to twist the lever to control the angle by the time you built in enough leverage to run the valve.

How many hours you got on it? My dad's 8G has over 10,000.

Quite simple really, it's called a Unitrol Valve. Stick forward = Blade down, Stick back = Blade up, Stick right = Angle right, Stick left = Angle left, Rotate the knob on top to the right (clockwise) = Tilt right, Rotate the knob on top to the left (counterclockwise) = Tilt left . Also, all three functions can be done simultaneously, but it works slower than if you did each function individually.

When I worked underground in the mines as a Union Certified, Senior Top Millwright / Mine Maintenance Mechanic , I worked on a lot of equipment that had a multi-function single joystick.
