The engine is some version of a DD-130 Hercules. What do you have in mind: new sleeves and pistons or a rering? Also get the information off the engine as there are DD 130 & DDH 130 engines. The lower ends are way different! Me I prefer to take the engine out so everything can be checked and that includes getting the block hot tanked or cleaned in a thermo clean oven system. Do you have a shop manual? Oliver did issue a shop manual for those tractors and I would suggest that one be obtained from the museum in Charles City. More questions?

Thanks guys. He does have a manual. Just in the thinking about it stage right now really. Trying to figure out a strategy.
I think it is mainly a compression issue. Won"t start without ether. Maybe just re-ring?

How is this project going? I have an OC46 with same symptoms, but with a GO130 engine.

Wondering how much work to remove the engine? Can the loader stay on it to remove the engine?
