i need to see a exploded view of a track adjuster , i bent the boltand cannot adjust the track any more , i need someone to give advice on to replace the threaded rod that pushes on the front idler / castor / sprocket

You might try going to CNH website, go to construction equipment. I looked up parts on my 310-g, was some good exploded views you can enlarge. Helps if you have serial #, breakdown for parts list was serial number breaks. Scott

i had one years ago, i replaced mine with hard threaded rod 1 inch fine, i made 2 new nuts to fit in the coller of the bracket that goes around the front idle wheel. it solved my problem with the tracks coming off, it looks worse than it is to fix.
i got the threaded rod from mcmaster-carr.

You can buy new aftermarket mechanical adjusters almost as cheap as you can make them. I bought two this past summer for my 310G. If the female threads are stripped you can weld in new steel nuts to fix.

i have a case 310-c and was on a side hill and hit a stump , i bent the threaded rod that was used to adjust the track , my question is whats the best way to fix this and it looks like its been welded on and a poor job of fixin it the right way , (i"ll attach pictures )the threaded rod was turned down on the end to fit inside a nut that was weled on the end cap that covers the spring(i want to replace the nut on that end cap or make a new one ?) , is that cap supposed to turn and if so can i remove it ? or do i need to remove the whole track assembly , darn im lost to the best way to fix this thing , and also the long rod that go"s thru the cover and spring , what does that hold and can it be turned to remove the cap that the adjusting bolt was in ?

i put that post in , cause i didnt know how to start a fresh one , please if anyone can help me with the track adjuster issue it would be greatly appericated

I had a similar problem I asked it it was possible to put a Hydraulic aduster in its place, use same wishbone on the idler wheel, but no one had the answer. Bought new bolt and nnut fom Zimmermans in Versalles Mo had what I needed.
