Got a friend that has a Waldon 5000 loader that needs brakes, the shop gave him a quote of over $2000 to install....? These are a small articulating 4x4 loader with a Deutz 3 cylinder air cooled engine made in Fairview Oklahoma. I don"t know a thing about them... any after market parts availible? They are just a hydralic 4 shoe brake system dosn"t look all that fancy...what gives?
Thanks David

Havent't worked on one for a while but as I remember they used Dana differentals and shoes similar to a 1 ton Ford truck rear shoes. Dealers get big prices for their parts and $100.00 + per hour labor. Adds up quick. Pull a wheel and go to the parts store and see if you can match them up.

It's probably a common off-the-shelf axle, Dana or some other brand. A parts house that has truck parts should be able to match the parts.

Those small manufacturers tended to buy standard components and just assemble them to whatever machine they were building. Nothing exotic or proprietary about the components.
