420 reverser, worth repairing?

My reverser in its past life had filled with water and froze. It had cracked along the bottom of the housing and I finished off the crack when I was removing the center section of the crawler.

First I was annoyed at myself for stressing the housing and cracking it, but once I found the old cracks I realized its better to find out now then after its assembled and leaking.

I can weld the housing, but I'm unsure if its feasible to rebuild this unit. It's trashed, the gears are rust pitted but otherwise in good shape.

Also, to top it off, the previous owner welded the shifter to the shaft. I can rebuild the shaft but the shifter cameoff in pieces.

What is the avg cost to rebuild? Does anyone have a good reverser for sale?

I bought my 420 new. When the reverser started giving trouble the dealer told me they wern't very good and just tie it in foward and not use it. Back in '63 it was gonna cost a whopping $117.
