I have a Case E-2 elevator with a 1750 RPM 3/4 HP motor on it. The jackshaft double reduction pulley are gone. I still have the original 12 driven pulley. My question is what size drive pulley on the motor is needed for hay bales on the elevator. I have a book but no specifics about the pulleys. Anyone done the change from the original gas motor or any info on the pulleys and belts used would be helpful.

OK here goes, finally mesured mine. BUT I use it for ear corn and my double pully is still there and it runs plenty fast. 1725 RPM motor with 5 3/4" sheave to a 14" with a 6" (double reduction sheaves) to a 14" sheave. I hope this helps you figure out what you need.

Klyde,

Thank you. That will help for my double reduction is missing and I had nothing to go from. SInce I have to make my own double, I can try to size it for my needs. I just need a place to start. According to my calculatons, I need to get the driven pulley at 160 RPM for hay. This is a perplexing problem that I figured others have crossed thsi path as well.

I appreciate the help.
DAVE
