New old plow

Picked this up today.previous owner said it's a 400,it has no serial number plate.so have no certain Info.its been well used,and still works well.

The diamond shaped plate on top of beam was used on 4/500 series plows built by White for Case. Not sure the diff between 400 & 500 plows.
 
You won't find any brand of plow that can turn consistent furrows any better than the
WHITE plows. You need to fabricate a lead/landing attachment for it though. A couple
of hrs of fabrication and a 3x8 cylinder and hoses and you will be able to tweek the
plow even nicer from one bout to the next. It doesn't take much of a slope to alter
the cutting width of the first bottom.This setup makes the plow follow it's draft line
rather than just sliding the plow sideways down on the hitch bar.

You can use simpler brackets on your plow. I had to keep the hydraulic cylinder high on the plow beam and draft beam to clear the vari-width cylinder when I built this one for our newly acquired 598 plow..

I certainly appreciate everyone's input and info,the advise I've gotten and read is always top notch here.i have seen the white plows with that cylinder,never understood it's use.i assumed it was for the guy who refuses to move the rear tire out.i did find out last night,my 1070 is more stable than my 2290.no front weights on it.lol been a long time since I seen the front off the ground that high lol
