Hi all! I am looking for nay information that anyone might have on the Case 1830 Uniloader. I just bought one. It is in real good shape, everything works and I have already moved some dirt and gravel around with it. I am looking for attachments or a site that might have attachments or a way to use Bobcat type attachments. It is a 4 cylinder gas model but I am not sure what year it is. Any information or direction you can give will be appreciated. I also have a 1965 Farmall 140. She's a beauty and works without a complaint.

Hi Dean,
I have original sales literature for 1830 if that would help you. Right offhand, can't think of many Case attachments beyond the different buckets, forks, backhoe, or rear mtd ripper. Does your machine have the tool tach bar (quick couple between the bucket and loader arms)?
Send me your serial number, I can look up the year for you...

Max,

Yes it has a tool tach bar. I am unable to locate the serial number. I can tell you that it has a bit of a jerking on the left side when I lock it out to turn hard right. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dean

DaleIN,

I will have to get the serial number. Please check back in a day or two as it will take that long to get out to the machine. It has two pins at the ground level of the attachment arm and then a tabs at the top. These tabs are like the quick connect that you see on the newer stuff. The newer stuff also has a slide lock type connection on the bottom.

Thanks for the reply,

Dean

The 1830 was before the Quick-tach which Case got into trouble with. It was so close to the other brand that the other brand of implements would fit on it. On the 1830 the attachment for the bucket did somewhat resemble a quick attach for the only pins that really required removal were the lower pins. When these units were used at dairies, pig farms, and fertilizer plants though the top pin did require removal due to the collection of foul smelling stuff in this area that didn't allow for quick and easy removal. One time I worked on one of these units and was supprise that there was a brake pedal on it, the floor board was stacked that deep and you can imagine what the motor compartment looked like. I was also forced to work on that unit outside and downwind from the door and at breaktimes I was able to have on end of the room by myself. The so called ripper was really called a scarifier which was used inconjunction with the D100 backhoe. The scarifier was used to prevent the unit from rolling into what ever you were digging. These units also came with two different buckets and had the grapple hook option. When these units first came out, there main market target was feedlots, pig pins, and fertilizer plants, then seeing how the competition grew in the construction markets, Case started aiming towards those markets more heavily which was the later 1835, 1840, and 1845 models which started having more options like 4n1 buckets, rock rakes, sweepers etc. You might still be able to get a sweeper for the 1830, try checking with Sweepster. Hope this little tidbit helps.

That puppy has the Renault engine so when you do a tune-up remember that #1 is at the Flywheel, not the waterpump side. That little item had baffled many a good Case technicians for that little item was in the fine print in the service manual.

Wow, my Dad bought one of these and in real bad need on info ! I believe his is a 1977 model. We pulled the motor (Renault 4cyl.) and it was basically not rebuildable, so could some one please help me on some advise on where to find another motor? Can you use a 4cyl newer diesel in this model? Neither of us are master mechanics, but we have done alot of searching and have come up with nothing on this motor at all. Don't think anyone has one anywere. Thanks for any help you can give. Plz email me.
