Replacing seat on 351

I have the easy ride seat off my 351 and am starting to take it apart. Looking like I need a new screw, rubber springs and maybe bushings. That doesn't count a seat pad. I then contemplated saving the easyride in case I want to return to stock specs and putting on an aftermarket seat. I even found one in a red orange that might or might not be close to Case Flambeau. Very few of these seats give any info on mounting holes. From Yesterdays tractors they show the bottoms. Most look to have a centered two bolt mount. One shows a mounting plate with multiple slots but none have the 6"w x 4" deep mounting pattern my old seat has. I was just wondering if anyone else has used an aftermarket seat and how they fit. FYI THe tractor is used on 50 mi. tractor rides. THe back support might be nice.

You need to reflect on what best suited you in the past. Is cost a driving force in your decision? I have ridden several styles, and one always seems a better fit for my butt. That will help you decide.Best of luck in you decision.CM

I have no past as far as long rides go. I did have a similar seat growing up with a 70 Oliver and the were comfy enough. Just speculating. If i can get a generic seat with a back for less money I would be inclined to give it a try if it is easy switch. If I have to fabricate mounts I will fix the old one.

You will have to fabricate an adapter bracket for any after market seat. John S should be able to fix you up with parts for the original. The screw with both LH and RH threads may be a problem, but there are several simple ways to solve that problem also.----------------------Loren
