I have been off the farm a long time. One of my trips back I saw my brother's 1650 Oliver. I asked him what the weird thing was on the 3 point.
He said it was a quick hitch. I looked at it again. Part of it looks a lot like the Eagle hitch on my VAC and even more so on my 351. Looks like Case lost that battle but in the end won the war.

I have tried to open this subject before but no one seems to compare Eagle Hitch with a quick hitch even with the similarities.

the one I saw had upside down claws the same as the 351. It is an improvement over the first ones like the VAC has. It was like the very short
vcr/beta battle. One with the most bullets wins.

They are similar, but not the same. The Eagle Hitch didn't allow for the sideways movement you can get with three-point hitch. The quick coupling aspect of them is similar.

Oliver and White had a version of a quick hitch on their three point arms as well. When there was wear they would unhook at the least opportune times. My dad had a 1750 Oliver, he cut the end of the three point arms off and welded new ends on in place of the quick hitch couplers. That stopped the inopportune uncoupling.

The 1650 I had was a pain due to having to move the "balls" from one implement to the other. Yes it was faster than jumping on and off lining up the pins. Just my opinion.
