Case 1390

I just bought a case 1390 and I will be ordering a Manual tomorrow. In the mean time can someone recommend which engine oil to use and also what hydraulic oil I need to use. I want to change the fluids in it. Would this tractor be a dry or wet clutch? Also is the power steering oil separate from the hydraulic oil? Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated. Thanks

Your tractor is the 1390 made in England by David Brown, right? If so, it has a double dry disc clutch. I use 15W-90 in all my diesel engines (Rotella, for example). You will get a variety of opinions as to what to use in the gearbox. I would check the dbtc.co.uk forum for those opinions.

Don't order a manual.

All your manuals are at the following link and they are free for download or printing. Help yourself. Owner's manual, factory repair manual and the parts manual. Heck, even the I&T manual is there. Here is the link:
