Timing C or CC magneto

Is the timing mark on a C series the same as on a D series? If not what should I look for?

There is a timing plug on this 30 C the same place as a DC....

I know where it is; I just need to know if the mark on the flywheel is a D or something else.

once I get the correct mark I make a pointer to the front crank pulley and using a chisel make the correct mark. Saves wiping oil looking for a mark especially if working alone/

Tuba, Cant say for absolutely certain but I would expect the DC mark would be (D), The DC series used that in 39 and the engines were very similar with a couple upgrades, take #1 plug out and find TDC as well as you can using the top of the piston as a guide then use brakekleen and a blowgun to clean the flywheel as you turn it till you find the mark

Tuba, a picture of my timing pointer I made for my DCs, once this is installed you can do running timing with an advance style timing light easily
