Got the 530 running

530 didn't want to start after sitting all winter. Finally got time play with it. Pressurized the tank with a shop vac and it finally started. Died and wouldn't restart 1/2 hour later. Going to change fuel filters to start with. If it still looses prime (so to speak) is that showing the pump is bad? It's gravity fed to the pump, right?

Fuel is gravity to the injection pump. Pump MAY need serviced, confirm by seeing if engine runs OK with the two screw timing cover loose on the pump side. If it runs better WITH the fuel leak, but acts up again with the cover tight, pump needs repair. This test is to be done with known good filters and flow to the injection pump. Just finished repairing a JD 4020 pump for the same trouble.
