930 3 Point wont lift

I am needing a little input. On my 930CK the first time I got it running the 3 point seem to raise and lower the first couple of times i tried it. Then I drained out the oil and replaced the brake shaft, put it back together and new oil. It raised the one time I tried it then I let it down and it doent want to raise now. If I throttle all the way up it will raise very very very slowly.

I checked the pressure at the remotes and I have 2500lbs. So I am sure the pump is ok enough to raise and lower better than it is. I took the draft control valve off the tractor and the trigger poppet piston is free and seems to work ok. The Lowering popet piston seemed a little hard to get out and it may have been stuck but after removing and lubing it it seems to move easily in the bore.

The flow control piston was stuck, I couldnt pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. So I shot in some wd40 and used a flat end punch and tapped it in a little then it freed up and the spring pushed it back out and I pulled it out easily. I lubbed it up and now it moves easily in the bore.

Would the flow control piston being stuck prevent the arms 3 point arms from going up? Maybe a combination of the lowering piston in addition to it?

I have never messed with this vavle before so not real sure how it all works together. I have the manuals just looking for your help. I think I found the problem would like to know if there is some agreement with it.

thanks for your help.

Sounds like you did a good job cleaning the valve. I would just like to say make sure the steel ball that raises and lowers the spool will fall freely through the bore of the valve. The ball needs to run against the taper on the main spool so it can move the lowering spool up and down when the main spool goes in and out. The ball can get hung up in its bore keeping the spool from seating and then the arms do not lift properly. Rod.

Thanks for your help. Yes the ball on the lowering piston is free moving when I move the spool in and out. I got some knew orings and seals coming for it so hopefully I will get it back together Friday nite and see if it works.

I just needed a little re assurance I had found the probable problem.
Thanks again.

(quoted from post at 02:31:16 07/24/18) Yes, I replaced the filter when I changed the oil.

Thanks for your help.
Did you disassemble and clean the interior of the raise plunger, the adjustable oriface inside gets plugged and gives the symptom you describe, there is a lock screw to remove and the pointed needle reassembled after cleaning the interior to a depth of i believe 3/4 turn backed out from bottom and locked down by the lock screw. this is the normal complaint when this happens, This is all located underneath the little domed piston in the top of the raise piston.

how do you get the domed thing out of the piston? It looks tight and I don't see how to pry it out.

Thanks, I want to make sure its clean before I go back together.

thanks

ramps, I always have been able to get them out by blowing air into the holes in the side of the plunger. spray it up good with brake and parts cleaner, it it a plunger that slip fits and no o rings or seals to fight.

I have a couple of other thoughts on potential problems. There is a nylon oring that seals the hydraulic valve body to the rockshaft housing that could have failed. I have also seen a crack in the valve body that causes an internal leak but I can't remember if it affects the whole hydraulic system or just the 3 point.

I would like to thanks everyone for their replys. I ordered some new O-rings and a spring and freed up and cleaned out the draft valve and got it all put back together tonight and back on the tractor. The 3 point raised and lowered like it should. It always feels good when you actually fix the items you work on.
